Met up my mum, sister and brother in law for dim sum in Geylang lor 8. After dinner we were walking back to carpark when my mum suddenly wanted to visit Geylang lor 6.
What so special about lor 6 was that I was born and stay there for a year. My family only shifted out when I was 1 year old.
So we just walked over lor 6, guess what? Surprise..surprise the house is still there!

(Geylang lor 6...house 6)
The house belong to my father sister's husband family. So we are distant relatives. What's even astonishing was the house owner and it's occupancy still living there after all this years. They recognized my mom instantly.

(My father.....who sister's husband....brother. He recognized me leh. Wow....never seen him for 36 years! He's 70 years old.)

(Taken from inside the house)

(More relatives)

(Living room)

Born and stay in this house for a year, I have no recollection of it. But my elder brother do. Understand he still come back to visit this place once a while.
Mum insisted on showing me something important; A room.

(This is the room......)

What so special about this room?

(Here the door I was scalded with boiling water)
Well just about was 1 year old, I was accidentally scald with boiling water when I walked out of this room. Rushed to hospital, lucky manage to survive. Because of this accident, I was a small scar on my my left foot due to operation on me.

(37 years later on, I'm back to this "crime" place)

(This is the exact place where I was scalded with boiling water.

(More rooms upstair)

(Storage area)

(There's old photos every where)

(Heard from my mum that this the signboard they used when they sells dim sum back then. They still keep it although they stop the trade long ago)

(Taken in 1947.....the man in circle was my dad. The lady was my grandmother. I really look like my father)
What an experience going back this place!
How I wish this house belong to me, it can fetch 1.7 millions......ouch!
