What did I buy?
I brought E-Ten Glofiish X500 GPS smart phone at a whopping of $1,000/-
This is the 2nd most expensive phone I ever buy. The most expensive still was my first phone ever, ericsson 388 which cost me $1,300 in 1995.
The E-TEN glofiish X500 is a quad-band GSM phone with EDGE, including
- 400 MHz Samsung Processor
- 128 MB Flash ROM, 64 MB SD RAM
- Megapixel camera with flash light
- WIFI 802.11 b/g
- FM radio tuner
- only 143 g weight
This device includes the fantastic SiRFStar III GPS chipset which features quick satellite acquisition times and low power usage.
Wow, that’s quite a feature list.

(Box is nothing out of the ordinary)
(Inside the box we find the device, USB charging cable, USB PC cable, stereo headphones with built in microphone, leather case, quick start guide, and software. Also included, Singapore and Malaysia map)
(And here it is - the glofiish X500. Notice the use of brushed aluminum around the edges of the screen, with silver-metallic plastic adorning the rest of the body)
(The microSD slot on the glofiish X500 is accessible from the bottom of the device)
(2MP camera sensor, self-portrait mirror, and flash)
The downside is, I find it extremely difficult to sms.
