Another birthday mean another year older. However, I try to spend it pretending that it is my last day on Earth so I can enjoy myself.
If anyone is interested in knowing, my birthday was largely unforeseen event. I took the day off meet up with Bear who give me a treat at Botak Jones.

(Botak Jones at Ang Mo Kio)

(Yup, me....another year older.)

(Bear ordered 2 sets of 200 grams of ribeye steak and some side dishes)

(To be very honest.......my verdict on the steak: Fail)

(Bear gave me my birthday present. A lighter....swee.)

(That is Stephanie's car; yellow in colour)
She called, promise to bring me to a special place and so from Ang Mo Kio, we followed Stephanie's car to CTE. During the drive, I was wondering.....where could she bring me to?
Somewhere mysterious, secretive and to most people it was almost impenetrable, was all she can revealed.
Hmmm...maybe hotel? My heart was pounding so hard I thought it was going to leap out when I thought of this.
Finally, her car turn into Labrador park, I thought to myself I'm gonna have a heart attack this time. I followed her closely. From there a peaceful drive into the uphill slope carpark before the restaurant was in sight.
Well, her place is the The Olive Ristorante at Labrador Park. This dimly-lit café-setting tucked away in a secluded corner of Singapore.
Seemingly an interesting find, the dense trees of the surrounding park also gives it a resort-like ambience that makes a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

(Now you know how dark was this place)

(Stephanie taking pictures of me)

(Bear's hand suddenly appear)

(Stephanie giving me a treat)

(Pizza pizza decorate with real flower)

(Waitress came out with a cake and an improvised candle. Then they sang me birthday song)

(I felt truly awesome to have friends like Bear and Stephanie. Thank you guys so much!)
For Bear & Stephanie
Into the dim lit, bare walls of my world,
Stephanie entered, bringing light and life to me,
The vivid colors, you painted with a smile.
With tender care, Bear added comfort, warmth,
And images that line the now bright walls.
I look upon them fondly, bringing forth.
Both names hang right besides my smiling face.
Remembering all these years we've been through.
I have to thank you both....for being my friends.
