You know what they say in Hokkien.
“The older you are, the more afraid to die”
This beginning to make sense as I grew older and just today after been using pirated Win XP Professional for the past 2 years, I actually brought an original XP home edition (oem version) at the price of $140/-. It sucks.
Oem software is without any support from Microsoft and full version (with support) a whopping of $399/-. Needless to say, XP Professional costs more.
With it new anti-piracy law in effect from 1st Jan 2005, I wouldn’t want to take any risk.
[People found to be illegally using software or downloading off the internet will face a maximum six months in jail and a fine of $S20,000 ($16,200) for their first offence, according to amendments to the Copyright Act introduced into parliament]
This will apply to home users as well. Don’t play with fire, you have been warned.
I also brought an original pc games “Lord of the Rings – The battle for middle earth” for $52.90.
I’ll be busy battling the forces of evil for the next few days. Yahoo.
But now, main task is to reformat my pc.
