City: Sapporo
Left hotel early morning, took train to Tokyo's Haneda Airport. It takes about 11/2 hours to fly to the Sapporo Chitose Airport.

(Nope, that's not our plane)
At the Chitose Airport we get our JR pass, and by noon time we're in Sapporo city. Sapporo is the capital city of Hokkaido. In summer when other parts of Japan are hot and humid, it's cooler and more comfortable in Sapporo. After checking in our hotel, we explored this modern clean city.

(Big city but can't say much about the population here)

(Few streets later, still not much souls around. Think, we're on an area call, “The Twilight Zone.” Doo-doo-doo-doo----Doo-doo-doo-doo)

(Finally, we spotted a crowd, cheering for marathon athletes)
We navigated our way to this place known as Ramen Alley.
Sapporo is famous for ramen. Sapporo has more than a thousand ramen restaurants, and it's said to be one of the three cities of ramen in Japan. This Ramen Alley is listed as a tourist trap and is an unusual tourist attraction which is a small arcade in the Susukino area which has about 20 ramen shops.

Sapporo ramen is arguably the best in Japan.

If you want to find a delicious ramen shop here are three criteria: It must be old, crowded, and dirty.

Looking for which Ramen shop to have lunch.

We decided on this Ramen shop.

Look attractive enough for us to venture in.

Ramen here not cheap.
After lunch, shop around the vicinity.

(These guys are picking up rubbish. Will talk more about them later)

Sapporo clock tower is a wooden structure and well-known local tourist attraction, located near Odori Station; just a 2 min walk. This landmark is more than 100years old and currently, this is the oldest building standing in Sapporo.

Really, this is nothing to shout about. No special except it really old.)

Having pictures taken in front of the famous clock tower is a must
Nah.....nothing else to write.
This is so boring here.
