Japan - Day 8

Temp: Burning sensation
Weather: Resembling the sun
Moral: Absolutely high
Travel Method: Public transportation
Travel experience: Veteran
Crowds: Near riots
Primary objectives: Meeting Michael
Secondary Objectives: Tokyo Disney Sea

Disney Sea is a theme park built right next to Tokyo Disneyland. It is completely separate from Tokyo Disney and every part of it has a sea theme. Take train, take the JR Keiyo Line or Musashino Line to Maihama Station. All it takes about two minutes to walk to Tokyo Disneyland.

(Outside Tokyo Disneyland)

If you are going to DisneySea, best is to take the monorail. They really did a mighty good job in squeezing your money. You buy a ticket at one of the machines about 200 yen. If not, you can walk under hot sun for about 15 minutes.

( The monorail ride about 2 stops, lasting only 5min)

(Tokyo DisneySea entrance)

Oh yeah...my brother-in-law, Michael arrived Tokyo today. Our plan was to meet him outside DisneySea's entrance. After about an hour of waiting anxiously with excitement pulsing through our veins, the star finally arrives.

I conducted a change of command ceremony as my sister formally relinquished command to Michael. A new tour leader emerges. (Hate to confess, my sister are the one bringing us around. I am absolutely clueless in Japan)

Hail ”Michael”
Hail “Michael”
Hail “Michael”

I shouted to welcome my new tour leader, nearly to a marched past and saluted if not the fact my mum stopped me.

After placing his luggage at the storages lockers, we......

(Ticket costs 5,500 yen per person included all rides. It doesn't come cheap, definitely!)

When first entering the resort, we were greeted by a fountain with a large rotating earth. Perfect photo-operation!

The language spoken in Japan is Japanese but not knowing it isn't a barrier to having a good time in the park. Every sign and announcement is in Japanese and English.

Behind me are the Mediterranean Harbor themed port.

The first themed port you enter is the romantic southern European port-town of Mediterranean Harbor. It is divided into three areas: Porto Paradise, which is themed like a Northwest Italian fishing village;

There also the Palazzo Canals, themed to Venice. You can take a gondola through the romantic canals reminiscent of Venice and experience the Golden Age of Exploration abroad a 16th century Galleon and within the walls of a Renaissance era fortress.

Finally there's explorer’s landing, with its fortress, wharves and galleon from the Golden Age of Exploration.

Lunch, we dined at this exotic setting of a bustle Arabian marketplace, a variety of distinct food stalls offer an assortment of menu choices. Flying Carpet Curry specializes in curry dishes, the Royal Tandoor serves tandoori chicken, and selections of fried noodle and rice dishes.

The last time I rided merry go round was such a long long time that I can't remember when it was. The ride features exquisitely painted horses, embossed with colored gems, with silver, gold or bronze shoes, the most ornate of which are located towards the outside of the ride.

There are also a number of carriages, resembling large semi circular seated areas, which are located in between the horses. This merry go round is beautiful but the show stealer is, without a doubt is the music organ.

(This is the Tower of Terror behind me)

As one of the tallest building in the entire resort, is the most popular attraction. Had to queue for almost an hour to get in. After that, you take a walk to the "treasure" room of Tower of Terror which can see so many artifacts.

Then you go to the elevator boarding room.

The elevator here has capacity of 22 persons. Once the elevator closes its door, the elevator moves backward and you can see the green eyes flashing in front of you.

Then it goes up and stopped.
Door opened, in this room there this statue "cursing”.

Door closed and it goes up.
There's a mirror, there this ghost appear and disappear.

The elevator goes way to the top, where the door opened and you can see the view of Disney Resort. Then you fall about 2 floors and then way down. Once again it goes up to the close-to-the-top and then drops you down.

One word to describe it. TERROR!
