Move out at 9am at 12:15pm finally reach the 1st pit stop for lunch. This cafeteria sit in the middle of highway en route to Granada.

(Nothing but grassland behind me)

(Must take some pictures before makan, meh)
Inside the cafeteria, you queue choose your food and pay up.
Self services types.
I spend at least 10min studying before ordering. Finally I ate something exotic in Spain, stewed rabbit meat.

(Costs me 9.20 Euro about SGD18.40)

(The taste is close to white meat chicken but sweeter and juicier)
Mum and sister ordered pork and chicken. They hated the smell of rabbit. Haha. How the taste? Absolutely Fabulous! Best meal I had since my arrival in Spain.

(Rabbit meat goes with beer, what more I can ask for in life? Simply heavenly!)
Hit the road at 1:45pm and finally reach my Granada's hotel at 3:00pm. For the first time my hotel is in the city itself. Although hotel's lift (only 1 lift was available) was like HDB which can houses 2 persons with luggages only but that doesn't spoils my spirit.
I thought to myself I can go out tonight liao. Oh yeses, hallelujah.
And I was wrong. Because today is Sunday.
Unlike Asia, in Europe they don't work on Sunday. As I walked along I noticed all shops including supermarket is closed. Kanina, even pizza hut restaurant is fucking closed. Guess only things still running is the city transportation & restaurant.
We strolled the city with some big map unfolded and looking like a lost sheep. That's was fun because we don't know where we are heading.
Below are some pictures taken when we explored Granada.

(It was hot)

(May I added, extremely hot)

(Sis was taking picture of me when suddenly this dog walk past. You know me, scare of dog type.)

(This area is the old quarter of Granada)

(Just look at the graffiti, it found everywhere. What a sore eye)

(Seriously as I walked along my hope of finding some interesting place to go at night has withered. I'm not kidding, buying soft drink is avery diffcult task)

(I was really tempting to write, Nick & family was here 14 May 06)
We found some shops selling spices and herb. It's was very colorful and the smell so wonderful.

(Just look at their colors, nice? Too bad, you can't smell it.)

(At long last, there were shops in this street)

(More herb and spices. To me all this is very alien as I never see them before)

(Often I find myself waiting for the 2 lady)

The most modern street in Granada was as below.

(On my left- Nothing was open as it was Sunday)

(On my right- Same. All closes if as it war zone)

We passed by a church, yes a church again. To go in, u need to pay entrance fees. I thought Singapore everything you need to pay, in Europe is even worst. Since all shops closed we thought we go in for a some photo shoot.

(Church's main entrance)

(Don't asked me why this church had Chinese antique furniture)

As we came out, next to the church we saw this particular street bustling with activities. Like the 3 investigators, we check it out.

(Oh yes....shops.)
This area had Arabic culture influence just like our Singapore Arabic street. Some Spaniard were Muslim and hey they have back lane shops Open!
Some would-be antiques shop (it's a tin and wooden shack with a dirt floor) sits alongside lane. Look for the souvenirs they have lot of them. The place were both compact and confusing with more than 50 shops that resided like a maze.

(Brought myself a souvenir, a poster of matador and his bull. Come to my house time, you will see it.)

(It was very satisfying walk. Got tons of things to see where u never find them back home)
Dinner at hotel which was very good indeed. Unfortunately, during my day walkabout in the city I didn't see any place that might interest me to go in the night.
So sleep early yet again.
Tomorrow we be moving out to another city in Spain, Malaga / Seville.
