I just read today The New Paper and I realized a lot of so-called celebrities are naming their children weird and exotic name. Oh my goodness, what happen to the traditional name?

Actor Allen Wu's daughter is called Sage. What kind of name is that?
I know the word SAGE in Singapore stand for “Singapore Action Group of Elders”. My dad used to work there.

Apart calling his youngest son Raffles, Ah Neo other sons are Regent and Ritz. Sound like a chain of hotels to me. I know that our government launch a campaign on “Uniquely Singaporean” but surely this is not the direction we are heading are we?

One of Ivy Lee's twin son is called Dash.
Mamma mia, is that name taken form the movie “Incredible?”

Really, what happen to the dialect name? Why couldn't they keep it simple is beyond my comprehension. Think having such name it would really stand out above other?

Yes, I think so. When their child is in primary and secondary school, rest assure their names will be making fun off by their classmates.
