SINGAPORE: Westbound train services between Queenstown and Jurong East MRT stations were disrupted after a man was hit by a train, and died, at Clementi MRT station.

SMRT says buses were provided for about 11,700 passengers who were affected by the disruption.

This incident comes almost two weeks after a similar death at the Chinese Gardens MRT.

Police have classified the death as an unnatural one and are investigating. -CNA

Thanks to the donation to the family which is been reported out, Singaporeans are encourage people to jump for the well being of their family.

Now it is monkey see........ monkey do.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Once you jump, make sure newspaper come out, your family will get one lump sum better than buying insurance. Everyday there is at least one suicide in Singapore, but not reported.

Very sad to see this type of thing becoming a trend.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

On the more serious note, I presume this jumper is another out of job, poor and in debt. I rarely see someone rich committing suicide that because there there is too much to lose. If one has nothing left, with no hope and the next question come in their mind is “Why continue to live?”

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Our government says jobs in Singapore increase but if I'm not wrong it is cater for those in the higher education like degree holder. How about those with little or no education?

To be honest, I belong to the latter.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

As much I hate the inconvenience that suicide cause the commuters, but my heart goes out to the jumper.

Rest in peace..............

Zoe Tay out of Friday Weekly Top 10

It is confirmed Singapore's top actress Zoe Tay has lost favour with her fans. This year, she has fallen out of top 10 of the student paper Friday Weekly's annual Celebrity Popularity Poll. Sources say she is nowhere in the top 20.

Hoohaaa..

Which local celebrity do you hate the most?

My top 5 most hated celebrities..are they celebrity in the first place?
I don't know...I really don't know.

Coming at number 5 is...Bryan Wong.
I just don't like him. He have the sort of face you just feel like punching. No reason has to be given.

Number 4 is...Gurmit Singh
He is just plain disgusting. No talent in hosting. Know only how to scream. Only knows one liner, “Everybody scream.” Watching him hosting Singapore Idol was not painful but also unbearable.

Number 3 is... Dennis Chew
See him on TV, I switch to other channel immediately. Si buay act cute this fellow. His actions are like desperate man doing desperate thing in order become famous. I mean look at his face, not here not there.
How far can he go?

He thinks that just because he can speak mandarin makes them a good host? He look arrogant, act maichiam like a minihooligan.

Look, I swear to GOD....if he was my real brother, I disown him from the moment he was born.

Number 2 is...Zoe Tay
What I wanted to say about her already been said.

At number ONE is...Sharon AU
When I heard Sharon Au went to Japan, I prayed to the major five religion thanking them making my wish came true. Spare me not to hear her scream or shouting during variety shows. She totally don't know how to host ......only know how to scream, shout and being overly exaggerating.

Her mouth big, eyes narrow, acting so fake, do comedy not funny. She look like one desperately toad trying to keep her presence on TV felt. I almost wanted to smash my tv when I saw her hosting National Day two years back.

I wanted to write more things about her but I can't go on.......I just can't. The moment I think of her..my blood began to boil, my hand trembling.

Last words before I sign off.

Sharon Au....really SI BUAY AU

SINGAPORE : The SBS Transit has placed signs at 100 selected bus stops across Singapore, encouraging passengers to flag the bus early.

This will help bus captains stop at a timely manner and to ensure a smoother and safer ride for those onboard.

The operator has launched the public education campaign after receiving complaints that bus captains drove off from bus stops without picking up passengers.

Its subsequent investigations found that many commuters missed the bus because they often flagged too late.

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/237157/1/.html
-------------------------------

It's commuters fault again.
Everything is our fault.

Last fare hike was our fault because they say the some commuters underpaid bus fare by therefore they need to install EZ link card system to avoid cheaters.

And now this!
Who is this “elite”that came out with this campaign?

Since I wrote about the first person ever like couple of days back, I thought of my childhood.

So now is my childhood in primary school

I grew up watching He-man, Transformers, Mickey Mouse, Sesame Street . Not to forget, Ninja turtles and Smurfs too.

I lived near Outram...actually Jalan Kukoh to be exact and the block back then look like this.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in Primary school during recess time. I will squat by a drain with all my classmates. The teachers said I must brush each side 10 times too.

Water bottles were slung around my neck and a must everywhere I go.

In class, we fight rubber to see how my rubber go on top the other.

I still remember there's this electronic hand-held game called "Octopus" which I always played.

I freak out when the teacher tells me to line up according to height and hold hands with the girl.

Near my house, market look like this
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I get the option to have 1 packet of milk everyday in school and my parents gives me money weekly to pay for the milk.

My mum used to bring us to Van Kleef Aquarium very often. This place never fail to light me up.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
(Entrance fees were 30 cents for adults and 20 cents for children)

We played skipping ropes; zero-point, catching and bean bags during PE lessons.

I buy ice bag with favor like 10 cents each at provision store below my house. Just bite and twist.

My playground got rope to climb above, got sand, got swings, got see-saw, got merry-go-round, got a dragon thingy with roll of steps for me to climb up.

I lived near Singapore river and remember the scene exactly like the picture below.

I buy tidbits called Kaka (20 cents per pack) and that had a toy in it and it changes every week.

Handkerchiefs back then were a must for both genders

Apart from Van Kleef Aquarium, mum loves to bring her children to National Theatre for a visit.

My childhood in secondary school

I have pager, wor! Beep..beep. Who pages for Nick?

SBS buses used to be non-air conditioned. The bus seats are made of wood and the cushion is red! The big red bell gives a loud BEEP when pressed. There are colourful tickets for TIBS buses. The conductor will check for tickets by using a machine which punches a hole on the ticket.

Bus stop look like this

Watch my first movie at cinema was only $2.50, circle seat(upstair) was $3.50. Watch movie like Breakdance or Ghostbuster at below cinema.

I read Hardy Boys, The Three Investigators and the Famous Five story books.

I catch fishes in the drain.

KFC used to be a high class restaurant that serve food in plates and let me use metal forks and knives.

Autograph books were loaded with "Best Wishes", "Forget Me Not", and small poems like "Bird fly high, hard to catch, Friends like you, hard to forget".

Famous Chinese singers were only Alan Tam and Leslie Cheung

Class monitors and prefects loved to say "You talk some more, I write your name ah!"

I brought every single book to school, even though there was one thing called the timetable.

Clifford piers look like this.

Donations reach $400,000 mark.

Wow......

Our fellow Singaporeans donate to the family of the man who was force to jump the MRT,....killed by poverty, desperation and helplessness in a our so call first world country. All walks of life responded spontaneously to this tragedy with such touching generosity and help.

I'm very proud of our fellow Singaporeans.

For once Singaporean did the right, better than donate to Huang Na's mother which I regard as sheer stupidity in giving $500,000 to a China woman who once forged her identity to come here.

Majulah Singapura
Singapore BOLEH!

Even a bak kuh teh seller donate $10,000. He sells $5 a bowl which need about 2000 bowls. I wonder if their MP in his constituency earning so much got donate or not?

Check out the above link before continue.

My deepest condolence to his family.

(The story below is fictional)
------------------------------------------------------

Time: 10:00pm (One day after the incident)
Date: 20/10/06
Location: Chinese garden MRT
Crowd: Almost deserted

I was standing on the MRT platform, leaning on a ceramic tiled pillar, soft breeze in his face. For the umpteenth time my hands cross tightly against my chest cursing silently about the train arrival.

I felt a cold breeze, it was usually was cold tonight. The whole station was almost empty , how weird I thought to myself.

Out of nowhere there was this man stood besides me. He was pale, in fact almost white looking. He's wearing a light-coloured top and dark-coloured shorts. His body like a shadow somehow unproportional, it's like as if it was broke into 3 parts.

I was greatly startled but almost instantly it disappeared and believing that my senses had deceived me.

I said to the man, “Hi....it cold ya”

Man replied, “Yup,.....from the place I come from it is much colder”

I said, “Really? Hope that the train will come soon”

Man replied, “ Hope? Did I hear hope? I used to have hope. I was retrenched 4 months ago, my place was taken up by FT. I was long-term unemployed and was in debt. I thought I could land myself back a job soon.....but...”

I saw his both hands, five fingers clutched tightly and I told him to relax.

He shot back at me saying, “Relax? How can I relax when I got 2 children to feed and my wife only earned $500 a month? Eating bread and instant noodle consider a luxury, we don't even have money to take public transport. I'm only have $16 with me right now!”

He hesitated for a while and goes on, “ Now I'm debt ridden, life in Singapore is getting tougher and tougher, stressful and pressurized....day in and day out. The stress of family life, the stress of medical fees, the stress of illnesses ,the stress of retrenchment, the stress of inability to cope with mortgage loans etc etc etc..”

“I cannot sweep all the problems under the carpet...the only way, the shortest and the fastest way is to jump rail”

By now, my hand descended to nudge my spectacles up the ridge of my nose, already slippery with sweat.. I dare not asked any more question. I saw him pacing up and down, studying the railway track however I hear no footstep.

Damn, what took the train so long, I murmured while looking at my watch, suddenly when I looked up again, the man was in front of me.

He sensed I'm frighten by now.

He said, “ Now I find no meaning in life. Do I have a choice? My world is gone. No hope. No help. No support from nobody. In Singapore, you die, no one cares.”

A mechanical swoosh, and cold air rushed out to embrace me As my fear grew stronger, my heartbeat faster, only one thought flashed mindlessly in his head. Run.

The man put his hand on my shoulder, his red watery eyes filled tears and said, “ Did any government agency have assist me? Anyone cares?"

A flicker of movement caught his weary eye, the train is pulling into the station.

“Pal, you know something? Earlier in the evening, I given my son $10 to buy 3 packets of chicken rice and tell his mother this will be one of the best meal you all will ever had since months ago. I told my son to take care of his mom”

“Sorry to take up your time to hear my story, I must be going...the train is coming”....I could hear him mutter.

With that, he disappeared as quickly as he came...

By now, my clothes almost covered with my sweat and I quickly hopped into the train, feeling relieved.

The events of the last few years like acts of terror, natural disaster, illness and etc It got me thinking what would happen if I were to die suddenly. Anyway, I do believe my online diary will somehow outlive me.

Have you thought what will happen to my blog after I'm gone?

My personal blog will last if BlogSpot lasts. If one day they decided to close down, that's it for my blog which are deleted, forever removed from the web and from worlds eyes . If I'm alive, of course I can find another site to host but then I will lost all the archives that I had

My blog was started as just something to record my thoughts most of all to share to my friends. Looking back at them it would be nice to think that there was some way to immortalize those words and images, to protect them being deleted.

If I'm not alive, I would like to think that my blog would be passed like a baton to another person to write on my behalf but I can never know what will happen to it.

I told my family to cremated me with a laptop. I plan to keep blogging. I can report on what is going on in hell.

Do you think there will be a place to re-charge my battery or broadband connection over there?

This entry is NOT for you guys. I just need to write this down in case I forget.

This is my personal entry, this for myself only.

Just finished my objective on 17 OCT at 2230hrs, here's my mission debrief.

After confirming with my walkie talkie, I picked CO at Jalan Besar 2200hrs and my new vehicle commander gave me direction where to go. Finally we managed to infiltrate into MSCP.

Her choice of weapon that she brought along inside a stylish bag and a big paper bag, Needless to say, I am most impressed.

After confirming, there 2 enemy forces on the top of the MSCP, we had no choice but to go 2 floors down again.

Once deploy, she gave her command and I obeyed her like a chao recruit. I began to utilize my heavy gun. She inspected it and oil it to ensure it's battle worthiness. Once arm inspection done, she began to launch offensive on my heavy gun.

My battle end at 2230hrs.

Battle may be over but the war is not.

I was having lunch alone in Amoy street I found myself I overhear a conversation between a man and a women. They were sitting opposite of me. The female sat directly opposite me and the man next to her.

I think they are in between 19-20 years of age.

Not that I have a gift in eavesdrop but because their content is so laughable, I cannot help myself. This is what I hear.

Male: So you got any lobang or not?
Female: Have..depend whether you want to work or not.
Male: What?
Female: It is ******

(I can't hear what the company name but it about MLM)

Male: I also got join, you know.

(Then the man and women exchange their MLM company name respectively)

Male: My member expiry, I don't think I'll continue.

Female: Come over my MLM, they are good, they are unlike other MLM company. You must join those MLM company who is reputable, big and new. Because new product sells, like my company.
(Then she goes on how good it was..bah...bah)

Male: So your company is acting as agent for the product.

Female: No, our company manufacture them.

(I didn't look at her expression when she said these words, but when I try to eat my congee, it almost flew out of my spoon. I come to a conclusion her breathing must be hard and strong due to her excitement of mentioning her company)

Male: Oh...

Female: You must find out how your company operate. Like your up-line and your down-line and how much is your commission.

Male: So you up-line or down-line

Female: Up-line already.

Male: Wow, you must be earning a lot

Female: Not yet. I have no down-line yet as I just started 1 month ago. Tell you, sure earn one. If you are up-line, all your down-line earn money for you.

(I nearly choke on my congee...hahaha)

Conversation too long all I can say she brought the stuff herself required to hit the quota in order to become up-line.

Did you read newspaper recently about Singapore being cheated by Nigeria scam. Also the case on Time-share companies or even magic stone that able to heal everything. How come all these company still manage to survive and scam still exist able to manipulate us even we were warn a million times?

Ever wonder why?

Simply because there's a sucker born every minute and thousands came every day. And so it seems, for the old time scheme continues to be worked with success all over the country.

Dinner with Rachel at Crystal Jade as her birthday treat. Long time no see her. Still as short as ever. Haha.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

For those who know her, she's working in Prudential insurance, just came back from Hong Kong with her bf. No change in feature except for more pimples found on her face.

Mealtime conversation with her, found that her ideology and belief same as last time I knew her. In other words, no much change about her.

But I found out she did change one thing
One thing, in particularly.

You guys will not believe it.
I couldn't believe too.

Very scary leh..
Indeed it was..

She is....she is...
What more can I say

I dunno what to say.

What is a typical day for me from Monday to Friday if there's no ship?

Here goes,....

8:00am: Wake up. Get out of bed.

8:02am: Scan the bathroom for lizards. If I see one lurking behind the soap dish, I grab the water hose fired water at it. Am fully awake now.

8:30am: At my house carpark, start engine and tune in to Class95.

9:10am: Reached office. Actually I am suppose to get in by 8:30am.

9:15am: The first thing I do when I get in the office is unlock my pitifully slow PC and check my email.

10:10am: Go for my smoke break as well for my breakfast usually bee hoon and coffee.

11:30am: Another smoke break. I know I'm not quite productivity. Haha. Normally if there few ships coming in say,...next days, I'll been busy. If not, just surf the internet until 5:00pm

12:00pm: Eat lunch. One of the fave time of the day.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

“Rabbit” also working in Shenton way so we had lunch at Han's.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
(I love steak. Yum yum)

1:30pm: Go back office to continues where I left off like surfing the internet for instant.

3:00pm: Smoke break

5:00pm: Office hours end. Happy hours begin.

6:30pm: Meet up with Lam.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

7:30pm: Reached this place at Jalan Besar to wash hair. I mentioned before, it really very shiok. Washing plus massage on your back will wash off stress and revitalize you. Will put an entry details on my blog about this place next time.

9:00pm: Go for dinner. Tonight we went to Geylang to have frog legs. Whenever I eat frog legs I think of poor little Kermit the Frog.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

As I was eating I could this large fish tank where they host all the “live” frog inside. (You can see at the top of the picture.) Knife is waiting to serve upon them. Poor little frog waiting for slaughter. What to do.

A man gotta do what a man gotta do. To eat.

10:00pm: Send Lam back home.

10:45pm: Reach home, scan the bathroom for lizards. Shower.

11:00pm: Check email and write my blog.

12:00am: Crawl into bed. Wake up eight hours later. Repeat.

What is this?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It is a urinal for men obviously.

I encountered this type of design before especially in coffeeshop. I can understand that due to space constraints, the urinal have to put close together.

But the thing is, how on earth does 2 persons use it at the same time. The standing area is just enough for one person only. If it cater just for one person use at a time, then it defeat the purpose of having 2 urinals install.

I just don't get.

I figure out the only way to use is, one person standing on each side like the picture below.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

But then again, isn't it very sensitive to use as both party can see each other.....you know where lah.

I suspect this must be designed by lady.

Can you remember who is first person you ever likes.

I mean as in likes the person not to that extend as love yet. Can you remember when he/she gave you that killer smile at you? I bet 10 out of 10 are someone from your school. How can you not recall you have had the kind of symptoms like loudly thumping heartbeat whenever he/she talk to you.

Well,.....for me the first girl I ever likes was in my primary school, I think like primary 1 or 2.

Journey down memory lane to my primary school with me.

Year: 1976 / 77
School: Pearl Hill Primary School
Grade: Primary one or two

I met her first time in class and her short silky hair memorize me. The way she would carry her bag, listened attentively to the teachers and taking down notes in class was most enjoyable to watch. She was kind of tom-boyish but very feminine.

The first time I spoke with her was in the lift. My primary have like cargo lift which can house about 20 school children including 2 adults. My whole class was inside the lift and suddenly I fainted. I distinctively remember her asking me if I'm ok. Teacher came over and then I slowly somehow managed to get back on my feet.

Back at the class I wanted to play with my classmate but she ordered me back to my seat, saying I just fainted and I shouldn't be playing. I was shocked but at the same time happy that someone did care for me.

Back to the old days my mum spoke Cantonese to all her children, therefore I do not understand or speak English when I was in my primary one. It was a coincident that she's a Cantonese as well. From then onwards, we speak Cantonese to each other and became good friends.

I like her even more when she stand up for me when some bigger size classmates bully me. Most of the recess time whenever she and her friends played jump rope game(the rubber bands connected together) I would hid and watched her.

Ah,......memories like these make me wish I had a time-machine and a my camera to go back and capture every precious moment.

Alas, it was short lived though.

By primary 3, we were at different classes and after our PSLE, she disappeared entire from my life and I never see her since then.

30 years gone by, I don't know how is she or how she look like now. But I can tell you she is the only primary school mate I unmistakably still remember her face and her name.

Her name is Whye Yin (I forget her surname)

Check this link below.
http://amazing-race-asia.axn-asia.com/teams/sharon-melody/index.html

The Amazing Race is coming to Asia, guess what? Melody and Sharon from Singapore are in it! I never expect this to happen 2 years back.

Asia Amazing race, I'll be looking forward to it.

I wrote about 2 years back that if the producer open up to Asia and if I were to join, who will become my tag-team partner? Let me do a repeat and re-evaluate of the potentials candidates and I shall begin with the girls as usual.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting and Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

She can walk for sure almost like train army commando in a road march. Her endurance skill in standing and walking has reached highest level due to her expertise in window shopping. Due to her tolerance in stamina in walking, I believe she will help a lot in my quest for this race.

Her unselfishness spirit will win us ally and overcome most obstacle. Together we should make a lot of progress maybe reach the last 4 spot.

But her biggest problem is procrastination. In short, procrastinators sabotage themselves. They put obstacles in their own path. If one cannot make up her mind, then it will be an obstruction during the race.

Conclusion: OUT

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting and Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

After all these years in insurance business, her persistence & drives will be put into good use. Her determination to outlast and energy to carry on and on will be a boast to my campaign no doubt. With a one million incentive if we win, her motivation to win will be like unlimited appetite for her.

Her self-confidence, her desire and her intensity to win is already proven in her insurance track. With her as my tag team partner we'll like Batman and Batgirl. Almost sure win.

However her excessive sleeping is her biggest weakness and together deprived her watching with Taiwan VCD or Korean drama serial, she will be like a women being bitten by an animal with rabies; go mad.

Conclusion: OUT

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting and Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Bear have neither been the smartest nor the strongest; but what he lack in natural ability, he make up for in determination and discipline. His ability to thrive under the most adverse conditions and the fact that he is able to exhibits his natural instincts have earned him the nickname of ‘Bear”.

With his awareness and deep reservoir of emotional calm as attribute, half the war (race) has already won.

However his little or no craftiness was a major let down. Without his indulgence of everyday good life, I have qualm of him lasting throughout the race.

Conclusion: OUT

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting and Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

His ability to smoke other contesters was superior to all the rest of the candidates. If he was a soldier put in a war, he able to evade capture and walked into enemy camp without them knowing. Even if he capture by enemy, I sure he can under take all the torture throw at him. After all, he's been train by his wife to keep his mouth shut whenever he's got any beating from her. Well, he's one tough son-of-a-bitch as you all can see.

His biggest disappointment is every movement reporting to his wife like a recruit reporting to a platoon leader. Like asking permission to eat, sleep, shit and etc. You name it, he's does it all.

Need me to continue? I rest my case, folks.

Conclusion: Red card (OUT)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting and Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Never I knew a friend who is so “kan cheong” in my entire life. From walking to point A to point B, he's typically racewalking. Since my army days, he is always the first to draw arm, first to bathe, first in deployment and in fact whatever he does. He's so kan cheong that he already start ripping his clothes and pant off before entering in a locker room if he was to go swimming for instant.

And this of course help me in this race.

Because of his mentality of being the first always, he has the level, positive mind-set and his incredibly strong will to win is what really gets us fired up. I see him as a valuable assert in as my partner.

With him around, being the first and win the race is almost guarantee.

Conclusion: IN

I found my tag team partner, Old Veg is the MAN.
