Do a short one....

1) Today I help to decorate my office for the coming Chinese New Year. I feel so important at times. (The fact is, nobody is willing to take up this job).

2) After work, watch the movie "blood diamond" with Bear. How come see this show? (The fact is, Bear got free tickets)



3) Write this blog. (The fact is, I've nothing better to do)

4) Sleep......(The fact is, before that I go to toilet first)

“Come one hear us out sir. We got prizes to give away. said the lady dressed in a nice black polo tee to us at Scott's Shopping Centre.

Not interested, was my respond.

"Sir, just listen only. Only take 5 min that's all" said the annoying lady once again only this time she had placed herself in front of us therefore blocking our most obvious route of escape.

"Sir, if you don't mind me, I'd like to introduce you to a savings plan that will guarantee multiply your...""

You're from insurance aren't you?" I interrupted. "But are you happy in life with the money you have?" she rebuked back.

At this point, we sat down and listen as we got nothing to do. And this is how Rachel became one of them and joined insurance line back in 2003.

Met Rachel for lunch as she was giving me my birthday treat in advance. Some latest news about her.

She went to Hong Kong and Taiwan for holiday with boyfriend. Her company will be launching new product.........err...bo liao.

Guys....I hereby announce, Melvin got married again!

When he came over, I saw his new “wife”. She was slim, pretty, dress in metallic color and most of all did not grumble when I was talking with Melvin. She just sat there quietly patiently waiting.

She is perfect example of what I call a beautiful lady.

Melvin tell me that she protects him, gives him strength and power. Best of all, she could go the extra mile with me without burning a hole in Melvin's pocket.

I can tell Melvin is really pleased with her.

Anyway, drove his car around for half an hour.......just one word.
Shiok.

I've arrived at that life-changing point of middle age man.

Fat that settles around the middle, or a "spare tire," is a major problem that most men face. Men of all ages are affected, but the "spare tire" problem especially affects middle-aged men.

I do not enjoy lingering during shower anymore, nor can I comfortably stand in front of a mirror naked because I get to sneak a peek at my ever expanding waistline.

During my NS days, I have “washboard abs” but now this spare tire around my waist is causing me embarrassment and discomfort.

I am not a vain man but can you imagine that a tall, skinny man with traditional spare-tire on the waistline?

How thickening!
Yuck!

The only comfort of my "spare tire" is that it might protect me during car accident as the little fat around my waist may act as padding.

Nevertheless, this has got to stop. I’m considering the following exercise regimes to reduce my ever-expanding waistline.

Option 1:
Jog everyday after work.
Summary:
I hate jogging the most.

Option 2:
Jog once a week.
Summary:
Cannot, still very hard.

Option 3:
Do sit ups / exercises at home.
Summary:
I got back pain.

Option 4:
Workout in a gym.
Summary:
Got gays there.

Option 5:
Quit beer (Causes beer belly)
Summary:
It's futile.

Option 6:
Watch my diets.
Summary:
Watch me die instead.

Option 7:
Get a Osim uZap, slim belt
Summary:
You’ve got to be kidding me, cost $268.00/- leh.

I'm sure you guys do notice that neither my position nor my lifestyle allow me to carry out the following exercise programs.

However I have Plan B.

That is, I would wear baggy shirt / t-shirt on to cover my tummy sins. Cheap and easy.

Over the years, for example....

I first fainted was, when I was in primary school (reason unknown). Then 4 to 5 years later I fainted again but this time was at my old house.

Another 4 to 5 years later, I again fainted in the car park. My shocked friend brought me back home. These goes on even when I was in army and most recently was in 2002.

My so call fainting spell occurred once every 4 to 5 years, I reckon my next faint will be this year. Hopefully, it will not happen when I am trying to climb ship. If that the case, well I guess it's sayonara for me.

Also, I can sleep from morning to night. However once every year, for a month I will suffer from insomnia. Now, I am incapable of remaining asleep or maintaining sleep. Like last night, I woke up to iron my clothes at 4am!

And then there are few other cases as well which happen every few years but I shall talk about this some other time.

Been asking myself since young...how come like this?

I have been contemplating this question for a long time.

First, I know “xiao ren” which actually means people who are unscrupulous, devious, treacherous and unrighteous moral character.

But how far will a xiao ren go?

You know my company got Christmas hamper gifts. Well......this xiao ren actually took some items inside the hampers and sealed back the hampers nicely.

Wau lau.
A cheapskate xiao ren.

Given his skills and talents, now he can fart without shifting his body, thus no one will know.

Just brilliant!

Santa Clause didn't bring me anything this year. But Stephanie did.

Five days after Christmas, finally we met up as both of us the schedule are very tight, especially her. She gave me my Christmas present and I gave her my Christmas and birthday gifts.

2) Will be getting married next year.

So why do Stephanie cross the road?
There's food at the other side.

I have no trouble keeping resolutions. However there are one going to my recycling resolutions every year.

1999: I want to quit smoking
2000: I should be quiting smoking within a month.
2001: Smoking suck, I will quit
2002: I will assume responsibility as a non-smoker again.
2003: Have to quit smoking, that's my final answer..damit.
2004: Price increase again for cigarettes, I confirm will quit smoking
2005: It's not too late to make a change. I must break my addiction to nicotine
2006: I will try to quit smoking.

My New Year's Resolutions for 2007:

1) I declare that I will stop smoking.

I do enjoy attending Chinese wedding dinner only, if I knew the people at my table.

Take Ah Khoon, Old veg or Ah Toh's wedding for example. I have so much pleasure, satisfaction and fun from it, I wish they would hold another wedding dinner. Hahaha.

On the contrary, if I just know only the Bride & Groom, I would shy away from it.

Just imagine, eating with strangers....no topic, no jokes, only just a nod of head at the most.

Today Rabbit aka Yong Meng's is having his big day, his Chinese wedding. So the big question is.......

Will I attend?
Will I give him face (Known him since 1986)
Will I risk my friendship if I turn him down?

Wake up: 3:45am
Arrived at his house: 5am sharp.
Location: Admiralty drive
Moral: Unsure

Kanina,...I was asked to become his “brother”

Upon reaching his place I saw him neatly dressed up, sitting on a chair right in front of the main door. I sensed he was very nervous.

First to arrive was me.

2 of his friends turned out 10 min later and so the brother's team was born.

Move out at 5:20am and I feel like a misfit butcher as I was carrying a piece of raw pork in a red tray for the Bride's mum.

Arrived at Hougang, the bride's house at 6am. Wait for 10 minutes before the bride's younger brother came down to open the bridal car door. I wanted get out for a smoke first also cannot as I was sitting in the bridal car.

I assessed the situated and I gathered he was trying to test groom patience. Not sure whether he succeed but he sure got mine.

Upon reaching Bride's house, the sister's team were lurking for us there. There the sister's troop tested the groom's sincerity with a series of wedding games, like asking the groom to read out love letters.

Not only they torture the groom, they torment us (brother's team) as well.

The bamboo sticks are suppose to act as dancing pole, we're to do pole dance. They don't take no for an answer and I have to held the pole and shake myself like a washing machine.

I felt like doing a striptease aerobics in front of horny ladies, I pity myself.

Left her place at 7am and back to Groom's house to pay respect the groom's parent.

I thought I can take a rest here....and I was wrong.

Left Groom's house at 9:30am to Lower Seletar Reservoir for some photo shoot. If I can manage to get some pictures (got bride, groom, brother and sister's team) from Yong Meng and I put it up here. Meanwhile, I show roughly what we have been through.

Back to Groom's house at 11:00am for the Chinese wedding tea ceremony with Groom's relatives and then by 1:00pm we're back to the Bride's house for Chinese wedding tea ceremony with Bride's relatives.

By this time, I am really exhausted.

Finally reached Royal Park hotel at 3:00pm, took a shower before I knew it, was briefing of the Chinese dinner. My duty involved taking care of wines, toast team, ask guest to standby for photo session...bah..bah.

Although I'm tired but it was fun, really.

I wish the couple have lifetime of blissful marriage.

My Christmas traditionally meant an endless parade of food, loud and lively family gatherings. Christmas meant family being together; taking the time to enjoy each other's company.

This Christmas is no different from the rest.

Since my dad is having difficulties in walking, so everybody in the family visited my dad back at his old office.

Final note, I have a truly wonderful time spending the Christmas with my family.

Folks, it's Christmas eve and is a time for feasting! Everybody in my family are coming over to my house for here a nice, sumptuous traditional Christmas dinner this year.
