The Straits Times understands that the school has also met the girl's family, though Nanyang Polytechnic refused to comment yesterday.
On Monday, The Straits Times reported that a 17-year-old information technology student going by the name of Tammy had filmed a 10-minute sex video with her boyfriend on her mobile phone.
Her phone was subsequently stolen and the thief distributed the video online. It has now surfaced on a number of websites.
