My dilemma....(Time: 2:22pm)

I’m getting worries for myself. I have slightly more than a month to go before my window IPPT will be closed.
(IPPT = Individual Physical Proficiency Test)

In the IPPT I need to do the following:

Sit up
Standing board jump
Chin-ups
4x10m shuttle run
2.4km run

If I fail, I have to attend remedial training which can as frequent as 3 times a week after 6pm for only God knows how long. Undispute the toughest is the 2.4km run which I have to complete in 13 minutes.

Physiologically, I have already been beaten.

I’m in my mid-30s that have to do 20 years old something exercise? Not only that, having a van to work mean reduced amount of walking. Working in an air-con environment mean I don’t sweat much. Did I mention I’m a heavy smoker as well?

Anyway, I hate exercise, it make me sick down to my throat.

Probably the only exercise I like to execute was in bed. The term for it is, I believe is known as making love. Like IPPT, it has several positions that need to carry out. Sweat, depend whether how hard was your workout.

Back to the main subject...shall we?

So I guess I have to start my training now. Let me see starting today I will do series of slow jogging after work, says for 30 minutes.

By end of this month, I should be ready for my challenge, hopefully.

Time: 8:30pm

As I am typing this, I’m panting and sweating. Just came back from my virgin jog.

Earlier, I ran for almost 3 min before taking break. I estimated I covered about 500m. Rest for 2 min then continue for another 2 min of running before calling the night off.

I know it is a very short distance....maybe actually running is only 5 min but I’m really out of breathed and my head is spinning

Bloody Army, took my youth, took my best 2 years away from me for N.S and now this. Damn!

Shall continue my training tomorrow.
